SMS Any% Guide

Notes - this is not a final guide, it will be updated little by little whenever new runners have question or after reviewing new submitted run

# General

- Good ending is only possible if there is no game over
- auto scroll level (before the actual level) can give an extra health point after shooting 2/3 dinos

# Weapons

depending on the boss, the damage can be different

- Energy Rifle: fastest weapon, only use for the Velociraptor boss
- Grenade Launcher: hold button 1 to delay the explosion, weapon used for Brachiosaurus, Pterandon and T-Rex
- TNT Sticks: Only used for the Triceratop

# Route

The level order aims at minimizing changing weapon, which requires menuing

This is what currently with the WR, count menu time from first frame screen turns black when pausing to first frame the level appears

1. Triceratop > [Menu - Health + tnt stick] (2.333 s)
2. Brachiosaurus > [Menu - grenade launcher] (0.983 s)
3. Velociraptor > [Menu - riffle] (1.067 s)
4. Pteranodon > [Menu - grenade launcher] (0.948 s)
5. T-Rex (no menuing)

There might another possible route if triceratop is done without tnt stick, which will save at least 1 menuing, as long as triceratop can be done with riffle and not too slow

# Triceratop

Boss

- use the TNT Stick
- try to crawl back closer to the boss after being knock back to attack faster

# Brachiosaurus

# Velociraptor

- the damage is the same for the 3 weapon, not the same as the GG version
-

# Pteranodon

- Boss on the first dive, it's always the same spot

# Visitor Center / T-Rex
