Hi everyone,
So after going through the game a little bit I remembered something that is never really shown in the speedruns for this game and that's something I would like to call "The Secret Mission"
Basically here's what happens:
- In London when in free roam there is a race around a Junkyard against a Red Car and once you go into Turin there is a Cone Crazy sort of challenge you can do. Once this is beaten the guy says that you remind him of a guy driving around London last week (Meaning you) and tells you there is a Pizza Delivery job going if you want it. Once you get to the Pizza place you do a drop off mission getting to all the delivery spots and if completed in the time given then you recieve a prize (Won't say what that is here but it's special)
Anyways that gave me an idea and I thought "Why not make that into a Misc speedrun? I mean it's short enough and doesn't take up too much time even in the PS1 version of the game"
So that's what I've done, starting from today there is a Misc. Category called "The Secret Mission" and I'm entrigued to see how fast you guys can do it! :D
So this is to all PS1 emulator runners for this game, as I have been watching footage back from runs many years ago set by myself and Shoegaze (The other runner competing for WR alongside myself) I have spotted that the game is running at near enough full fps without any or very little slowdown.
To resolve this issue I will be putting in emulators that can be used for runs moving forward as well as rejecting the fastest times we've got (As it stands Lumberjackcagemaster's 1:03:53 is the fastest legit run we've actually got as it was set on a real console)
I know there's not many people who run this game but I'd like to make it more fair for new runners and deal with something which has been bugging me recently.
