I'm sure I'm not the only one to have beaten the final boss where the game for reasons unknown to me skips the fade out and goes straight to Kuros and the animal kings. Has anyone ever considered it as a possible timesave? I guess it would be damn near impossible to get consistent at.
It's possible and sometimes we try to do it. You are right that it's inconsistent and sometimes its just faster to hit the final element instead of waiting for it to orbit into the right position. The trigger for the fade out is getting the boss far enough away from Kuros, so if you blast it upwards and fall down at the right time, it can speed up the process. Might be wise to see if horizontal position could trigger the event... hmmm.
I thought I triggered it when I took out the last two elements at the same time (they were to the left of Kuros on the "usual" platform). Maybe it was something else and that final blast just grabbed my attetntion. It has only happened to me three or four times tops.
