For a long time it has been hotly discussed within the community whether or not it should be required to watch the intro of HP1 PC. After much discussion and a vote amongst HP1 runners the decision has been made to allow runners to start runs from a prepared save file allowing them to skip the intro cutscene. However, the time for the intro is still added to the total run.

The best way to do this is to set your split files to start at a certain time based on the language you are using. More details can be found in the video below.

This change impacts HP1 PC runs across the main boards, Multiruns, Category Extensions and Custom Content. The only categories this does not affect are HP1 PC Restored and HP1 PC Tourney Client on the Custom Content leaderboards as these have different intro sequences to the stock game.

It is my pleasure to announce that the HP1 tourney client now has a leaderboard on SRDC. Currently, the only available category is Any%, but the other main board categories will be added as when runs are completed of them.

The client can be downloaded from here: https://www.speedrun.com/hpcc/resources/pxqzs

Today the draw of the latest HP2 PC Bingo tourney groups took place. As many of you will know this year's tourney will take place on the new V4.5 which has been in testing for the last few weeks through the seeding process for fairness and balance.

Well Today, we're happy to announce that V4.5 is now valid to be submitted to the leaderboards! A variable for V4.5 has been added to the boards and runs will now be accepted on the leaderboards along side v4.0 and upwards.

You can find and download the new client here: https://www.speedrun.com/hpcc/resources/th69w

Please note: All runs on V4.5 boards MUST use the 4.5 client, likewise all runs on boards of v4.4 or lower must use the v4.2 client.

Additionally there is an update collectables document made again by @Handelsgesellschaft which you can find here: Coming soon

If you want to know about the specific changes with both the goals and the bingo client you can watch the video below:

Good luck and happy running!

As some of you may know who have done counting for bingo runs or tourneys before it can be a bit difficult. Well no more will it be because the incredible BoostingMantis has created a tool that will allow you to much more simply track and count the bingo runs you are watching.

Using this tool you can simply load a board using the seed and it will generate with a set of counters per goal which you can update as the runner completes various goals.

This tool is revolutionary and a huge shout out goes out to Mantis for all his hard work on this tool and the extensive testing he's done along with others. We can't wait to see this tool be used in it's inaugural tourney later this month with Nixxo's HP2 PC Bingo Tourney for 2024.

Check out the tool here: https://github.com/nt5664/HPBingoCounter/releases

Following interest from the community the Wizengamot have made the decision to add the HP2 PC Tourney Client to the leaderboards. For those unaware this client has been used in multiple HP2 Tourneys for Glitchless, Warpless and All Wizard Cards.

You can download the client here.

We've made the decision to add the following categories to the new board and as such you'll be able to run:

  • Warpless
  • Glitchless
  • All Wizard Cards

If you have any questions on how to get the client working or anything further you can ask in the HP PC Speedrunning Discord Server
