A segmented speedrun of Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest (1995), by New World Computing, done in 8 segments. Segments were recorded within one game session, so when scenario ends on 143, next scenario starts on 144. This affects only one thing: how fast you get weekly creature growth in next scenario. Restarts were not included in the video. "Restart" means save/load at the beginning of scenario to get some nice things on a map — artifact, heroes, spells, or troops nearby that wants to join. Sometimes this changes strategy drastically. For example, first I was happy with Scenario 8 finished with 10 minutes, going to the bottom castle and get Dragons with DD, so I even don't need a shipyard. And then after a few days I tried another strategy, went to the top, joining everything, and found Ultimate artifact reducing time almost twice.
A beloved game of my childhood is finally done. While immersing myself in it, I was surprised by some of the game mechanics that make this game unique within the series. As a HoMM3 player, I can say it's essentially the same game, just with less content. And it wouldn’t be such a masterpiece without the amazing music by Paul Anthony Romero and Rob King, inspired by J. S. Bach.
