Hey there, I thought I would bring up current skip and future skip ideas here if anyone tech savvy happens to read this.

So the current route is shown in Matt's video. That is the best and biggest skips me and Matt could find. In a perfect world the speedrun would be start, use the first ladder on the beach and airwalk to the final boss or at least get to the beast/odin trials area. Height isn't a problem and airwalk length isn't a problem. The problem is of course the developers... we think.

So what me and Matt figured out is this:

1. The bridge area can only be accessed once the door bridge cutscene plays out. Fortunately the only check to reach the bridge cutscene is beating the 2 bosses so we can have some fun with airwalks.

Once the bridge area loads, you cannot go back and load anything else in. This leads us to believe it is a different map or some VERY aggressive sequence break checking.

2. You cannot currently skip Odin trials. The door only loads after all 4 trials have been completed AND the sword has been picked up. Again, I feel like after the hell pit it is a new map of some sort.

3. Fortunately after you beat the hell pit, you can do any other skip you want... theoretically. You can just go to the hela bridge and skip the beast area (even the fight) completely (verified by Cheat Engine and finding the up and down values)

In order to understand the game more we need someone more savvy than us to make a simple save location/teleport trainer. We tested the current ones and they just don't work at all. What I think might be happening is that it's not different maps and that the areas we are trying to get to are just in a completely different direction than what the textures in the distance say (this is hope talking).

So the idea would be like:

1. Load up a save on the bridge after the 2 bosses etc and make a save location
2. Replace your save with another save on the beach at the start of the game and teleport using the coordinates stored
3. Check if the teleport puts you on the "non existing" bridge and if you fall back onto the beach

Ideally step 3 doesn't happen and we would hopefully get transported from the beach to a completely new location and the bridge loads in. Then it's just a case of figuring out where those coordinates where in relation to the beach and airwalking in that direction. Obviously then repeat this for Beast to see if it is a different map from the Odin Trials area.

Like I said this is just pure speculation and a last ditch hope to get this game under the 2 hour (maybe 1 haha) mark.
