"It took a few years, but I finally got back to speedrunning a game again. I had rerouted Gran Turismo 3 a couple times since my initial HDD run back a few years ago, and with Emu being recently added to the boards and some extra time on my hands, thought it was worth a shot. This run did not go as expected.

Multiple near run-ending blunders, menu brain farts, and a realisation an hour in that I hadn't accounted for an extra race skip in Type R and was $10,000 down on where I needed to be by the end of the run to make it work. Quick thinking in substituting upgrades lessened the blow, and just scraping through the last set of championships made this run both finish, and come in under 5 hours.

BUT, I think the initial setup I have devised using trade trick and the Integra is a way better get on your feet strat compared to before, making up over 4 minutes in the first splits before licenses despite slower loads. There's a definite feeling of potential with what I have created. There are at least 10 minutes of time improvement on this run, before making route advances."
