I just got into speedrunning this game and watched a few runs, I've seen that at the mara bossfight people get the special abilities like blink after bumping into mara and they use that to skip the fight. I tried it a couple times but I still don't get how to get the abilites on the bossfight. I haven't found any tutorials anywhere so if there's a video I don't know about maybe you could link it in the comments, thank you.

You need to downpatch in order to get your abilities in the boss fights. It's not possible in the latest patch. If you play on steam the downpatch is really easy by selecting a Beta for Ghostrunner called "killrun - Speedrunners paradise".
