Hi everyone!
We've decided to revamp the general rules going forward in regards to how runs are timed and what is and isn't valid in a run.
This version of the rules was drafted by one of our recently hired verifiers: @Nolyswag (of which, say hi to the other ones too! (@jebsheep, @iAmKenzo & @nexle).
We've also enabled the IGT as the default timing method from now onward.
This has been disabled for the time being due to causing problems with verifying, it may be re-enabled at a later date.
Thanks for reading!

Hi yall!
I just wanted to give a bit of a heads up about an upcoming change by qCosmo revolving around Speedrun Mode's timer, and how the leaderboards are going to be affected.
Essentially, in the next update of Find the Markers, the timer for Speedrun Mode now accounts for time lost in-between frames. This fixes the issue of getting faster times on laggy devices or low FPS, which is an overall bonus and makes the boards more even for everyone. Unfortunately, this also means that runs are going to pick up more milliseconds compared to the timer we have now, which would make highly contested categories have unbeatable world records.
Once this update comes out, we will be resetting all Individual Marker leaderboards and the 5-25 Marker categories. This ensures that the boards become fair and balanced, and makes it so everyone can have an equal chance to set awesome world records.
In the meantime, happy finding!
Hi runners!
After a long period of no major update for FTM, the Scented & Reinvented update has been released! With this update came the new Speedrun Mode, an improved way to record speedruns for any category! Simply go into the settings menu and select the Speedrun Mode to proceed.

Happy running!
Hi runners. As you've seen per the last post, we added categories related to the difficulties of markers.
But as of recently, we realized that there was some vagueness regarding the rules for some of the categories, specifically those that involve Foliage, and in specific the Markerous Markers category, as there are other factors that affect the run that we unfortunately forgot before creating the category.
To adress these issues, the rules tab for Markerous Markers has been modified to be made more clear for future runs.
Sub-categories for both NonOrb% and Orb% have also been added for both it and Extreme Markers, to distinguish between runners who choose to do the orb puzzle or not.
We're profoundly sorry for the lack of proper information and to any runners whose runs were rejected before we made these rules more clearly.
Thank you for reading, and the mod team once again apologizes for the inconvenience.

Hello runners!
New categories have been added, you can now do difficulty runs for each of the difficulties available in the game.
You can find them under the Biome categories.
- Easy Markers
- Medium Markers
- Hard Markers
- Insane Markers
- Extreme Markers
- Markerous Markers
All required markers for a run are listed on a category's rules.
Cowboy Marker, Couch Marker, and all Medium/Hard Event Markers are not required/allowed for their categories.
You can now also run Anniversary Marker (apologies for the severe delay i've been busy), you cannot use it however in multiple marker runs.

Hello runners!
Foliage Marker runs have now a subcategory in Any% between Orb% and NonOrb%, depending on whether or not you have already solved the Orb Puzzle required to access the Foliage Dungeon beforehand.
Submit any future Foliage runs with one of the two options.
Pre-Update runs are unaffected by this.
EDIT: This has now been applied to the Washable Zone Category.

Hello runners!
As promised per the last post, you can now run the markers from the Saint Paddy's Update!
Those include:
- Charm Marker
- Clover Marker
- Lucky Marker
- Sauerkraut Marker
You still can't use them for multiple marker runs.

Hello runners!
I talked with other moderators and we decided to put the Event Markers (currently only the Christmas event markers) as runnable levels, so now you can submit runs to the following markers:
- Santa Marker
- Reindeer Marker
- Christmas Cookie Marker
- Wassail Marker
Clover and Lucky will be added once the Saint Paddy's event returns, event markers also can't be used in multiple marker runs.

Hello runners!
Ever saw the Archives category and thought it looked very sloppy? Well, we're now moving the archived runs to a separate category that will be present in all levels (useful for future updates), keeping so the current runs in the current version still in Any%. This is so you can find the outdated runs much easily and compare them to the current runs while also keeping them in their separate leaderboards.
Full Washable Zone Markers need to submitted with the Post-Anniversary subcategory selected

Hey fellow runners!
As you may have noticed, the Washable Kingdom looks a lot different since the past 2 updates. The Dragon Cliff and the Blue Forest have been revamped, and the shop has been completely remade! Now the bad part: the spawn location has been moved closer to the portal back to the present. This means that it takes more time reaching other biomes or Markers. After a Poll and a bit of talking with the other Mods, we have decided to remove all Speedruns of Markers in the Washable Kingdom, that were done before the Update. If your run was done after the update, then it will stay. Also, all of your Runs will be moved to the Archives Category, which is under the Main Categories of the Page. You can find all of the old runs on there.
I hope you all understand. Have a great day!

So the FRIGHTENING HEIGHTS update was released yesterday to find the markers, that means we will be having more catagorys like,
200 Marker speedruns
Indivual marker speedruns and maybe biome markers.
All markers on the mountain will be put on archived if they are not effected by the update.

So we currently have about 70 runs in queue (more than we have ever had, thank you guys so much!), and then I stumbled across a run I have already rejected due to a valid reason: not starting at spawn. He told me he did start at the spawn but the camera is zoomed in so much that you cannot see if he started at the spawn.
Now I am telling you again: If you think a run is falsely verified/rejected, make a thread about it (on this page, not on the homepage). We will tell you if you can resubmit it so we verify it again. Do not resubmit runs which got rejected, even if you think it is false.
