Latter speed run strategy maybe?
So, currently there is a strategy in the game where if you bind 2 keys to "forward", you get double speed on ladders, but if you add a controller along side the double keybinds, you can get 3x speed on the ladders.
2x speed is the max that is allowed since that is what the game officially allows per the keybindings
