Today I want to announce that I've been working tirelessly over the past days to bring this page to an adequate state with this big (quite possibly final) update, the changes of which include:

Full retime of every run + introduction of LRT

It's been a real issue for this board for many years that runs were just improperly retimed, with the most egregious thing being the fact they were only timed from start to finish, without the removal of the loading screens. Thankfully, I have figured out a method of timing the runs in both Real-Time Attack and Load Removed Time properly, meaning that your PC's performance now won't hold back you as much from getting better times (you'll still, for instance, have the nights go slower by if you can't get a consistent 60 FPS in the game).

Extra penalty implementation

The run times also couldn't be consistent because of the actions of the runners themselves, one of those actions being starting a new game while not waiting for at least two seconds for the main menu to fully fade in, meaning they'll get to the newspaper screen faster than normal. Thus, a penalty of those same 2 seconds has been added to runs that do such action.

Tweak of the existing 6:00 penalty

Additionally, the penalty that was implemented last time has been increased from 2.1 to 2.25 seconds to more clearly emphasize the importance of having the game flow as it was intended and not use rare OS glitches to your advantage.

There were some other miniscule changes made to this board that are simply not worth mentioning here, and it now concludes this update post. Thank you for taking your time to read this and have a happy running this game moving forward.
