Obviously I'm not a mod or anything, and won't push the issue any further. But it does seem kinda unfair to be putting Switch 1 and Switch 2 runs up against each other, considering how much faster Switch 2 load times are. Might be nice to make it its own variable, though it's the mod's call.

Responded in discord already, but for transparency sake, the current plan is to leave boards as they are - if someone cares enough, it's easy to just filter runs based off of platform. Imo If there are enough active switch 1 runners over the next year or so, then a split is worth considering

Even though filtering by platform is an option, leaderboard visibility still favors faster hardware—especially with how significant Switch 2 load time advantages are. That can discourage new runners on Switch 1 from even participating, especially if they feel their times will be uncompetitive from the start. I also think that, with the Switch 2 potentially changing the dynamics of the leaderboard, I think it's a good time to be open to the possibility of emulators being allowed as well.
