Hello Far Cry 4 moderators, I'm a huge Far Cry 4 fan and I love the game.
It would be awesome if you could add a category like the one in Far Cry 3 where you clear all the towers in the shortest time possible, or take out all the enemy outposts as quickly as possible, since Far Cry 4 has an option to reset them all and do them again.
It would be so cool to add them to revive the Far Cry 4 speedrunning community.

Thanks for the suggestion! We have also talked about making an all outposts category, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. All towers is also definitely possible. The trick is that we just need to have a save file the everyone uses, that has completed A Key to the North, so that the north is unlocked, but where minimal progress has been made besides that.
By the way, would you also want to do a run with your own save file where you "reset outposts", instead of the premade save file? I don't mind making a separate subcategory for that. It'd be super tryhard of course, since you would just be incentivized to unlock the best guns, syringes and skills beforehand :P
I have a question: the rules are for PC, but I'm a PlayStation player. Could they be adapted for consoles as well?
For the category of resetting all outposts from the reset button, the fortresses are not reset, so that category from the button should only include outposts and not fortresses.
Thank you for the heads up, I have changed the categories so you only have to do the outposts in the "reset outposts" subcategory.
Also, all bell towers is a bit tricky for console, since you can't reset them in any way. Do you have any good ideas for how to set up that category? What I would like to avoid, is a scenario where the optimal way to do the category, is to 100% complete the game, gather all the most OP syringes, skills, fast travel spots etc., and then get the remaining 17 bell towers.
If it is even possible to manipulate the save files on console (cloud saves, file browser etc.), everyone would probably have to make their own save file. Otherwise the category would be absolute hell, since you'd have to play 2/3 of the story each time you want to do a new attempt. We could limit the reset pain by just making a "south only" category for consoles, but you still have like 30 minutes of main story to play before you can start a run...
@Binslev What we can do is create one subcategory for completing all 17 bell towers and another for just the southern section, allowing each player to choose which one they want. This way, if someone on console really wants to complete all 17, they can choose that option while still having the choice to do only the southern section. Both categories should be accessible on both PC and console.
Alright, I think I have found a good solution :) I have made two more subcategories in the bell towers category: One for the region (all towers or south only), and one for the starting parameters (standard or any%).
Console runners will be able to do all towers any% and south only any%. And ofc grounded if you wish.

We have set up two new categories, with two subcategories each: All Outposts, and All Bell Towers. We have set up a save file to be used for these categories, where A Key to the North is completed, but otherwise with the absolute bare minimum stuff unlocked.
