I've been very interested in speedrunning this game in both categories, but unfortunately, I only have a PS5 with the remastered version. I was wondering if there's any way to do it by capturing the game on the console and timing it according to the rules.

Of course! Feel free to submit a run from console if you'd like. Running console RTA timer would work combined with capture card.

Thanks for replying. I have a question: is there another way to record the game externally? I don't have a capture card, or is it absolutely essential to have one? I'm new to speedrunning.

Use the PS5's built-in recorder to capture your run. Export the video to a USB stick and upload it to Speedrun.com.

Thank you very much. One last question: for any ending, after speaking with Ira, do I have to enter the house where the teacher and student were, or can I skip the scene?

Is it possible to skip that cutscene?I mean the main road would lock if you do not watch that cutscene

I'm talking about this particular scene, because I've seen some people go in to see the scene, but others just walk right past.

After obtaining the key that grants us Ira, I can proceed directly to the mansion.

So would it be valid to do it this way, or is it necessary to go in and see the scene?

I didn't know that because I played the remastered version on the PS5 directly; I never tried the original.

I've already done two races, but I'd like to try more if that would help me lower my time, because I made mistakes and even had a bug in the game that prevented me from progressing in the mansion.

original version is the same.Remastered version have quicker loading time,so it's more faster to choose that​.I use remastered version for speedruns.Also have some bugs :1.OOB in act0 didn't worked

2.you can't reload your game during act0 and act2 after you get the key or you will lose your main item randomly.

3.Mirror ghost didn't show up in the final battle sometimes.

4.For pc,controller​ is a must.capture zooming too slow with mouse at 120fps

5.act1 cutscene can't skip with low grafic settings.

Also have some bugs can be prevented during the run

No, you don't need to go back to the house, just book it to the mansion. I played only the original game, but I'm positive it's the same in the remastered, since they changed almost nothing about the game.
