Hello, I used to play this game at a high skill level. Before team mode, was a top 50 player. If you know what I mean then you know the grind back then was different.
The reason for this thread is I want to improve the speedrunning community for this game. By this I mean, I am currently the record holder of the 'Starter Circuit'. The 'Starter Circuit' is way different today than it was when the leaderboard was made. With the VODS on that board being basically different races completely and different character limitations (in the case of today, no limitations)
This game has some of the best kart mechanics out there.
That being said, the game has a P2W aspect or a veteran advantage over new players.
Similar to, at the time of this post, 'Divisions' (Speedstorms Competitive Scene) I think to help retain interest in the game and add something new to it, I think this needs to be reworked.
I have come up with Ideas that would allow to speedrun the game both as a P2W/Veteran player and a new player. Separate leaderboards for Leveled Characters and FIXED Level characters.
I would even be open to being a moderator of the game if it means to improve this game in the speedrunning scene.
I too would also like to see the speedrunning community for Disney Speedstorm thrive a little more than it does at the moment. The barrier to entry is too great!
I would like to propose simplifying the leaderboards completely and introducing a new leaderboard, "Regulated Mickey with AI".
This would allow every Disney Speedstorm player to try and submit times for the game without spending too much time or money trying to unlock characters who already dominate the existing leaderboards. It might also encourage existing speedrunners to try the game out and allow us to grow the community a little more.
Once there is a little more activity on the leaderboards it would then make sense to add more challenging leaderboards for Veterans of the game.
At the moment though, I think trying to obtain moderation is the first challenge :D
I heard speedstorm has a partnership with speedrun.com for the upcoming Zootopia season so decided to hop on here early I know Dcynced he is a top player I am also a former #1 player in the world in this game and would love to see this game thrive.

@SalspeedstormGaming the tournament starts on the 19th December, so within the next days. There is a challenge section on the main Speedrun.com page that will let you submit your runs for the tournament :))
