Will individual chapter categories be added that allow you to start with completion data?

Unless there's a "new major incentive in the future", NO.

Below are a few reasons why:

1. Category bloat - Adding a completion data category would mean every single individual chapter category could arguably have one (excluding CH1). This would add significant category bloat to the board. In addition, there is no substantial difference currently in runs with the buffed weapons and items.

2. Verification - Runs allowing custom savefiles are very hard to verify. It is difficult to determine whether valid savefiles were used, and having a normalised savefile could cause issues due to individual runner preferences, and also doesn't really solve the issue with verification anyway.

3. Impossible for most console runners to import/export savefiles - It is almost impossible for console players to import/export savefiles, hence a normalised savefile idea would be impossible for those runners, and making the savefiles for the runs is significantly more difficult.

4. Has not become standard - Whilst there could've been argument for it to be the norm when CH2 released, we did not make this the case.

Weird Route Chapter 5 requires completion data. Why is this a category?

Because completion data does not affect the run.

What will happen with Weird Route Chapter 7 runs?

Since it'll likely require completion data that can affect the run, we don't really know. However the idea of not having a Weird Route Chapter 7 category is an option. However if enough demand is apparent after release, we will definitely consider adding it. This would be an example of a "new major incentive in the future".
