Is this game really doable blindfolded ?

Hi everybody !

I'm a blindfolded speedrunner and I was wondering about how to beat this game blindfolded. I've realised that the boss of the B zone has RNG patterns not to mention the little green enemies on the ground that make the situation uncomfortable. My question is: is there something to do against this boss ? Many speedrunners of this game have told me it's possible to beat it blindfolded, but right now, I think I've hit a dead end. Theoretically, it’s not impossible to pull it off by throwing the ball every which way and hoping for the best, but that’s not the sort of thing I’m going to have fun doing.

I'm far from a blindfolded expert, but there is an RNG lock that you can use. If you wait on the start menu until the demo starts to play, it will lock the RNG for the entire run in to the same pattern every time. Using that pattern, I'm sure you could find a way to hang on the right side and pull it out. There are usable audio cues you could memorize for every boss, as I've learned to use them in my normal runs.

But I feel like a blindfold expert could find a way with the same patterns every time. All you'd have to do is wait until you hear them jumping around and start your run.

I really don't remember the boss, but if you stand on the ball do the green slimes go under you? So couldn't you throw the ball up from the side of the screen and try jumping on top of it and continue that in a pattern until you get lucky and kill the boss. technically if you hear hitting the boss, you could time how long it is until it's back into that position again. should be the same time every time right?

Thanks a lot for your replies. I tried the technique of waiting for the attract mode, but I never get the same RNG. In fact, I don't even get the same RNG when loading the same save state before the boss twice in a row. As for the "bullet" technique—while it's true that the small green enemies on screen can't hit you from the ground, the plane can parachute them onto you from the air, so you aren't invulnerable. What's more, the plane can also hit you horizontally. On top of that, the green ground enemies are RNG-based too, making the situation really hard to manage. Honestly, I think there's nothing to be done ._.

EDIT:even you don't get blindfolded experience, feel free to try on your corner and maybe a new idea will be developped 😊

Do you do the thing to make the bosses pattern locked? waiting for the demo to play then start the game? Then you should get the same boss pattern every time.

In reality, there are some truly tricky sections, so I think I’ll start by playing the game with infinite lives and health. There are many factors that make me doubt whether a "normal" run is even feasible—for starters, you die very quickly and lives are scarce. It’s incredibly easy to die in the Level 2 kitchen (especially with those flies from the casino). The fan level with the birds looks awful, and the toy boss is just as bad. But the worst part is Zone F; you have to play absolutely perfectly there, because—again—you can lose a life for no reason. I’ll see if my friend Civel (who’s planning to tackle this game next year) comes up with any solutions. And even with the RNG manipulation for the airplane boss, it’s still a massive pain—believe me. Anyway, I’m going to do a run on my own to establish the basics and then post it here (I won’t be submitting it anywhere, of course). But yeah: attempting a blindfolded run of this game under normal conditions doesn't seem realistic to me.

Alright. Actually there's a world where this game can be beaten blindfolded but I would ask for a condition: I’d like to look into creating this category, but with the stipulation that infinite lives are allowed; otherwise, it would be far too complicated. You die way too easily in this game, and I couldn't imagine doing a full run under any other conditions. The kitchen section is a nightmare—what with the jumping and the flies—and for the most part, you can't guarantee beating the bosses on the first try. There are also save spots and instances where you might intentionally die to reset your position for a better beat count. Do you think it would be feasible to create a blindfolded category with this extra condition, provided I can pull it off? It would allow the run to progress and create something new without granting an unfair advantage (unlike the infinite energy I had originally planned). I look forward to hearing your thoughts! <3

Hi everyone ! It's done: the game has been achieved completely blindfolded. I mean I've used infinite lives code beacause I didn't want to repeat the B Zone (kitchen) indeed, the last screen sucks and it wasn't funny at all. In any rate it's not a problem because I won't submite anything. At least, don't hesitate to like my content because it's a lot of working 😊 I miss the 16:XX, losing 42s on F iirc. 15:XX should be the last barrier but no reason for me to grind for the moment.
