4d9r decided to go against the poll (everyone voted to keep level runs) Not even the mods want it deleted.

So that’s what happened.

Personally I think it’s better without 90 ils, I don’t know if we’ll keep it like this or if it’ll be changed back. I’ll update you on the situation.

People can still submit their FG runs to sections if they want to. Runs would just endlessly pile up if it stayed as 1980 IL categories no matter how many mods we have.

The moderation of this game was handled pretty poorly honestly. When the ILs we're first added I remember @4d9r telling everyone about it in the discord and encouraging people to do runs of the ILs for farm week. The massive queue was this would bring was always known about and waiting until after multiple people dedicated hours to those ILs only to then change your mind about them without the agreement of the runs is just undeniably a terrible decision to go through with.

I regret encouraging farming this honestly. And yes @sfme exactly. To otterstone, if I didn't do this now then it would have removed even more spent time, it's a "now or never" thing. I was considering just abandoning this leaderboard and leaving it to rot because as I've stated multiple times now, no matter how many mods we got, there were too many runs being submitted daily to keep up with. I feel the need to ghost this board now cuz this is definitely gonna start a shit ton of drama that I don't want to deal with but it was gonna happen anyways so what's the point, this is the internet after all where every decision you make will be scrutinized for like a week before people's attention spans switch to something/someone else.

Really, ILs are what made this game fun. The original split between resets and conserved momentum was a poor decision, and removing the conserved momentum category was the only necessary step to improve this board IMO. This game really lacks the fun factor without ILS since the small skips, tricks, and strats are what made this game enjoyable. I really hope this board gets restored, otherwise I have no intention to play this game again.
