I have a question regarding recording requirements for runs.

I’m currently playing using sysDVR for capture. The issue is that sysDVR only records once the game is running and does not capture the HOME menu or the initial boot of the game.

My previous run was not accepted because the video did not show the game starting from the HOME menu.

Since I dont want to buy a capture card, I wanted to ask:

Would it be acceptable to record a single continuous video where:

• I film the console/TV with my phone while showing the HOME menu and launching the game,
• Then switch live to the sysDVR capture for gameplay,
• With no cuts, no pauses, and no editing?

The entire recording would be continuous to avoid any form of splicing.

I want to make sure my runs follow the rules properly before attempting another one.

• Recordings must show proof of the game launching from the home menu to confirm a fresh start.

You can also show proof of the game starting by having the recording start when the screen is still black on launch, before the game menu shows. If you are launching from the HOME menu, there will be a "nintnedo switch" logo in the bottom right hand corner of the screen for like ~5 seconds.
