Any% WR Route (2025)

Here is a text summary of the WR route as of 2026. Some of the strategies may be too advanced for beginners to attempt. I wrote this text summary as an easy and quick sheet of notes that can be referenced during runs.

If you are new to this game and trying to learn the route for the first time, I would recommend watching the current World Record run while following along this guide, to give you a better idea of what some of the instructions mean. How To Build Every Vehicle for Any% Speedruns

This video showcases all vehicles used in the any% run, for easier building and replication.

**Note that it is recommended** that you obtain the vehicles according to this guide: https://www.speedrun.com/bknb/guides/u012s.

However, that requires access to an Xbox 360, which not everyone has nowadays.

If you would prefer to build the vehicles manually (for example, if you don't have an Xbox 360), read this guide.

Note that there is no easy way to reorder the vehicles in the vehicle selection menu. This means that in order to have optimal menu-ing for doing speedruns, you must build your vehicles in reverse order of how you want them to show up in the vehicle selection menu.

If you are building the vehicles for the first time, here is my recommended procedure:

First, collect all required vehicle parts needed for building all vehicles, in whatever manner you would like. This means:

1. Bank 75 Jiggies,

2. Turn in crates 41, 36, 38, 43, 47, 33.

3. Buy 2 Air Cushions, 2 Air Cushions, and 1 Large Tray from Humba Wumba's parts shop.

At this point, if you saved any custom vehicles on your way to collecting 75 Jiggies, now is your time to say goodbye to them. I hope you didn't get too attached to them. (Delete all your custom vehicles at this point).

Then, build the vehicles in reverse order of the recommended menuing order, starting with "EGG" and ending with "Vroom". This will ensure that your vehicles are in the optimal menuing order when you have finished building your last one.

Some of the vehicles are really easy to build, and others are... quite annoying to get exactly right. It will probably take you around 4 to 6 hours to build all the vehicles, depending on how fast you are at copying. Luckily, you only need to ever do this once.

Very importantly, there is a hidden setting in the wheels of this game. This will significantly affect how some vehicles turn and handle.

Set the following wheel settings on the following vehicles. This can be done by highlighting the wheel and pressing RB. If a vehicle is not listed, simply leave the default wheel settings.

Taxi: Back wheels "Driven", front wheels "Auto"

Big Blue: Back wheels "Driven & Steering", front wheels "Auto"

Nicolas Cage: Back wheels "Driven & Steering", front wheels "Auto"

Sticky Vroom: Back wheels "Driven & Steering", front wheels "Auto"

Vacuum 2: Back wheels "Driven & Steering", front wheels "Auto"

Bumper: Back wheels "Driven & Steering", front wheels "Auto"

Rainboat: Back left wheel "Driven", rest "Driven & Steering"

If you did everything correctly: you should have 35 vehicles, vRo0m should be the one at the very top of the list, and EGG should be the one at the very bottom of the list. Now, you are finally ready to do your first any% run. Good luck!

How to Disable Leaderboard Upload when Streaming Directly from Xbox One -> Twitch

On Xbox One there is a feature where you can directly stream your gameplay to Twitch. This is a really convenient and easy way to record your runs, especially for speedrunners who may be new to console speedrunning or just don't have a capture card.

Of course this means you must be online and connected to the internet while running. Unfortunately, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts has an online leaderboard system and after each mission it will update your score on the leaderboard. Normally this will only take somewhere between 0.5 and 2 seconds. (If you somehow also get an all-time top 10 time, the game will spend an additional 15-60 seconds saving and uploading your replay to the leaderboard. How unlucky would it be to get a top-10 time in a mission during a speedrun just to lose 60 seconds because the game insists on uploading your replay hahaha). Even if the average leaderboard check time is 1 second, that adds up to 53 seconds over the course of an entire Any% run. That's nearly a minute wasted just because the game is doing leaderboard uploads/checks. Massive time loss! Obviously this needs to be avoided.

Normally this is avoided by simply taking the console offline during speedruns so the game skips the leaderboard check, but if you need to stream directly from your Xbox One to Twitch, this isn't possible. Except really, it is possible. You can trick the Xbox 360 emulator into going offline without taking the Xbox One offline. It just takes a bit of fiddling. Here's how:

1. Launch Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and get to the main menu.
2. Return to the Xbox Dashboard and navigate to the "Settings" app.
3. Find "Network Settings." Currently this is located under "General," but the location may change in a future update.
4. Click "Go offline."
5. Press the Xbox Guide button and resume Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
6. Confirm you are offline in the 360 emulator by pressing the start button and back button at the same time to open the Xbox 360 Guide. There should be an option that says "Connect to Xbox Live."
7. Return to the settings app and click "Go online."
8. Launch the Xbox One Twitch app and start your broadcast.
9. Repeat steps 5-6.

You are ready to start your run! As long as you don't click that "Connect to Xbox Live" button in the Xbox 360 Guide, your Xbox 360 emulator will stay offline even though your Xbox One is connected to the internet. Good luck and have fun! Any questions, message me on Discord: ArcG3#8011

***One note about using this method is that when you restart the game after the Grunty Battle in the 131 Jiggy or 100% runs, your Xbox 360 emulator will reconnect to the internet. The only way to get around this would be to not restart the game (and by proxy, the emulator), which means you'd have to watch the full end-of-game cutscene. Watching the whole cutscene is almost certainly a bigger time loss than just allowing the leaderboard checks for the rest of the run, so it's better to just deal with the leaderboard checks for the rest of the run. To summarize:

When running 131 Jiggy or 100%, when you restart your game after the Grunty Battle, your Xbox 360 will reconnect to the internet and you'll have to deal with leaderboard checks for the rest of the run. There's not really a good way to get around this without taking your Xbox One fully offline.

How to download vehicle blueprints and get them to work on your 360 written by Blazephlozard

1. Move your Xbox profile onto a USB drive (System Settings -> Storage)
2. Download the vehicles onto the same Content folder in a USB drive
3. Install Horizon: https://www.wemod.com/horizon (Be careful, it tries to trick you into installing an extension and some nonsense)
4. In Horizon, change the profile for each vehicle to you, then save them. I've made a video here: https://youtu.be/Es4DnWXmJSY
5. Move your profile back to your console hard drive if you want (you should be able to move the vehicles too) and they should be loadable in-game now on your storage device of choice.
