So... I recently found out by accident an appel wiki I didn't know about (https://wiki.appelgame.net/wiki/) and was surprised to see that some guy wrote a short article about me. One of the points that described me was my participation in the Michael Chan controversy, during which I defended him by providing some "justifications" for the anomalies that were spotted by Programminguy (aka @speeeedy) in his speedrunning activities.

In the same wiki you can find the article https://wiki.appelgame.net/wiki/Michael_Chan_cheating_incident, that better describes my intervention.

Now, I know that a long time has passed since that event and that many things have happened in the Appel community in the past few years. Nevertheless, I realized just now that I never really clarified my position about the controversy after a group of people provided extensive evidence that Michael cheated over a year ago (watch this video for more information)

The thing is, I want to officially apologize to everybody who was right about Michael being a cheater and, specifically, I want to say sorry to Programminguy for doubting him and saying he was acting suspicious.

I do recognize that I was on the wrong side of the story and I am ashamed of all the statements I made back then, trying to defend Michael by brining some arguments that today I consider to be absurd (Appel "not appearing the same in different parts of the world" is simply stupid).

Although Michael Chan made great contributions to the community by popularizing Appel through his channel, and although I am quite sad that the exposure of his irregular activites inevitably resulted in his downfall, I no longer side with him in this argument.

Besides, I want to add that I admire Programminguy for what he has done for Appel and the Appel speedrunning community and that I've genuinely never had anything against him, even during the dispute when I attacked him for accusing Michael (something you can see from the few times I talked with him since then).

I hope this helped clarify my current position regarding this topic and that nobody hates me because of my past statements.

Have a nice day
