I've been comparing my runs to the top 5 runs in All Tasks: The Skeld, and I've noticed that not all runs are done in the versions after the clean vents task was added. I was wondering what technique they use to play in older versions, or if the versions should be seperated in run categories.

There is a guide to show you how to revert your pc or mobile device back versions but since itspractically impossible to revert versions on switch, controller is put into new and old versions like Minecraft.

On the discord server, you will find guides on how to revert your game version. Currently, versions before the clean vent task was added are faster, as it is 1 less task to do for completing the run. There are also specific versions that use glitches to make the times faster as well.

Also, I believe the reason that controller was split into two categories was because reporting a killed dummy in version 2021.6.30 and forward is slower than reporting in a version before that.

The controller version was split because the Nintendo switch can not revert to specific versions of the game, while mobile devices and PC can. You can also find tutorials for downgrading in the guides tab as well.
