This is the inaugrual WR for the category, being DOS Any%
Some things to note:

Jumping works at a narrower arc than on the console ports, which makes jumping over some enemies such as the spiders a pain in the neck

This was done on the Silver Box Collection release of the game on GOG, which uses a specified DOSBox configuration to run it on modern hardware and the release I would recommend for speedrunning purposes in the future.

A death was incurred in the fire traps of Level 2 involving Camaron but somehow his replacement in the front of the line, Sturm, is somehow able to handle the spiders of Level 3 better than he would've had done.
Other than those, the route is generally the same as the NES/SMS versions of the game.
