So, I did a run of the game the day it came out (No spreadsheet or Tables existed as far as I know), and during the run I opened inspect element to see if I could use it to read the characters in wingdings font. It didn't actually help due to the way the HTML was structured, and because when a worm is eaten it closes all of the opened tags. Experimenting with this lost me about 5 or so minutes.
Would it be possible for runs completed before the boards were added to speedrun.com to be grandfathered in as long as inspect element didn't have a positive impact on the time?
Here is a video with the timestamp for when I opened inspect element:
Also, I believe the release date is incorrect, it seems like it was released Jun 27, not Jun 26
Yeah, as long as you didn't edit anything it should be fine. I'll change the rule to better state that.
What frame does time start, and what frame does time stop?
I assume time starts when the first frame the password field is not blank, and ends when you click [Yes] when asked if the password is your final password?
It starts as soon as any characters appear in the box and ends when you paste in the matching password and it says that it is complete
I don't think so - the eyedropper is obviously allowed because otherwise it's unsolvable but chess can be solved alone. Also rules state you can't use assistance from another person to tell you the move so I doubt AI is allowed.
