As of today, it's too hard to keep track on the differences between level design, layouts, names and even level orders between the web version and android version.
With several runs still in pending mode and too many levels to moderate, I've just cut the cord and decided to split up the versions for several reasons:
- It keeps things fair between platforms. Web versions don't get obliterated by the Rumbler.
- Everyone is playing on a even field. No layout advantages or disadvantages.
- It's easier to moderate, cause it gets too confusing with levels being different alltogether sometimes
- It's the most logical step to keep runs as accurate as possible
- It can avoid confusion for newer players if they see different strats on the same level depending on version
- Keeps the run tidy and cleanly seperated.
So yeah, it's fair & logical at the end of the day.
Runs at this moment that already have been submitted will be moved accordingly before too many new runs get in. This might take some time though. In the mean time, runs that are currently pending, I'll edit into the correct version.
I'm aware that there's still a lot of levels that need to be added. But please understand that this takes time to add + this isn't my main game I run personally + I'm busy with making a TAS run for another game that invests a lot of my time. So I hope you understand why I can't add everything in out of the blue.
For the rest, I see some runs that are submitted are flirting with the rules a bit (no audio or ghost runs). And even though it's a bit of a gray area, I can understand because it are new runners or the whole "forgot to record" argument. The ghost runs I'll allow as that wasn't clearly stated in the rules. But for other rules that are clearly stated: PLEASE, keep them in mind to keep everything as fair as possible. To clarify, screenshots are allowed, yes, BUT NOT if it's a top 3 run.
And as a final point, I've added the discord link made for stunt bike extreme. https://discord.gg/utS7dT3Yg
Easier to discuss the game in that spot :)
