I finally gave Spyro 3.5: Return to The Forgotten Realms a try, and wow, this is definitely not the usual casual Spyro experience.
What surprised me most is how much the game expects you to know about Spyro's movement and glitches. Some of the egg locations and routes are completely different from what you'd normally expect, so you can't really rely on muscle memory from Year of the Dragon. There were a few moments where I just sat there thinking, "there's no way I'm supposed to get up there" đ
I can see why this appeals so much to speedrunners. Once basketball stars you understand the tricks, the level design starts to make a lot more sense, but figuring everything out yourself can be pretty brutal. I'm not even trying to compete for a leaderboard time yet â just getting through some of the challenges is enough for me.
Has anyone here completed all the eggs without following a guide? I'd be interested to know which one gave you the most trouble.
