When should you run+jump?

I’m not sure when I should be sprintjumping rather than just sprinting, in runs they randomly start doing it sometimes so I just want to know when I should be doing it.

Hi, there's no real consensus about this. All we know is it's a little bit faster overall to run and jump. I personally do it as much as possible except when i'm going up slopes or stairs. Now there's parts where it's totally useless, like some chases. For exemple during the Pelican chase it's not faster overall, it's the same speed than just running cause this part is scripted anyway. Personally, I run and do long jumps, pausing by half a second between each jump. Now if you jump, you need your jumps to bé accurate and not go too far cause you'd lose time. Overall, if you don't know the levels much, it's better to just run with shortest lines and barely jump, rather than overjumping.

@Ragdoll Hit I’ve noticed the same in REANIMAL. Sprint-jumping can be a bit faster on flat areas, but only if your jumps are accurate. If you’re not sure about the route yet, sprint normally to stay consistent.

It might be beneficial to experiment with different jump timings in various sections. I’ve noticed that slight adjustments in when you initiate a jump can significantly impact your speed and trajectory as a Slope Rider
