Is there a possibility of The Ecstacy of Gold category getting filters for the spawn towns? I bring this up seeing as the original challenge had started in Rosewood. I have completed a run from a Rosewood start that is still waiting review only to see the new best times both start from West Point.

I know it doesn’t say anything specific about spawn location in the rules but it still disheartening to try to honor the original challenge’s start location to then see the only viable option in getting a decent time now being to start in West Point.

Sounds like if it's a competitive category, and you make your case to a mod, it will happen. Good luck!

I understand the frustration honestly. One proposed category that a lot of people seemed interested in was "Race to Louisville". So this new ecstasy of gold is a combination of that while still honoring the original Speedrun.

But as Exzinel said, if enough people want subcategories such as Rosewood, Riverside, etc. and enough people submit runs. I don't see why it couldn't be added.
