Hello speedrunners of PZ,

I'm representing a bunch of people that recently participated to the first edition of the LouisVille Express, a challenge created by SPIFLO, and we'd like to present it to you all. ()

The goal is simple : reach the end of the bridge of LouisVille in a minimum of time, starting from Irvington race track.

The rules :

• For this, we use a mod called Spiflo Race (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3737079874), it is used to spawn directly at Irvington with a car.
• Start in Apocalypse
• Ragdoll ON (20 minimum)
• The mod also provide a "standard character build" named "Raton pressé" that we used, it adds the following traits : Speed Demon, Dextrous and Vehicle Knowledge.
• Timer start at spawn, and end when reaching the end of the bridge of Louisville (the mod kill your character after you cross the concrete blocs.)

There's already 7 times recorded officially made in B42.19, only one time in 42.20, others hasn't been posted yet, and there's more in the shadows coming (you can find the playlist of all times recorded in B42.19 here : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDqmDNPV_iMA)

We would like to ask you, the community, to consider adding a category for this speedrun, it is actually fun, not that long, really challenging, with RNG that makes every run interesting.

We are also aware that the community don't want a category with a mod, but maybe we can find a way around it, we'd like to hear from you about it.

I will do some testing with the mod and everything. See how the run feels! Looks like a very active category though, thanks for bringing this to us!

Cool suggestion guys! This Run looks like a lot of fun. I personally have no objections in adding a run like this myself, but as itsbringr has mentioned in other topics, whether we add a new Category or not really depends on how much interest there is from the PZ SR Community itself. If you're reading this and would like this Run Category to be added. Give the Author's post a like so we can gauge the interest behind it.

In regard to the SpiFlo Mod, it looks great, and quite well made, but we would unlikely be able to accept the Mod itself as valid to use in a verifiable Speedrun. The reason for such is that without PZ providing a way to encrypt or obfuscate Mod code with some sort of Escrow system, it allows users to tamper with and modify the code in Mods allowing various ways to gain an advantage. DeadSplit is able to avoid this because I specifically built the Mod to include a fingerprint and hash system when exporting the run.txt file, and the Moderators have been provided with tools to unhash the run.txt file to be able to compare a User's DeadSplit installation (fingerprint) against their own verified and un-tampered installation.

However, I would be able to offer a middle-ground compromise. If the Speedrun is accepted here on Speedrun.com with the it's current conditions, I can replicate the same (or similar) functionality from SpiFlo into DeadSplit for this Run category. I would be more than happy to credit Spiflo (and/or the Mod Creator) for this in DeadSplit's credits section. This means you would be able to continue using SpifFlo for practice runs, but then need to deactivate it and activate DeadSplit for any runs that you wish to submit to Speedrun.com.

Hello ! Have you tried this challenge yet? I don't know if enough people are interested for adding a category for it, but your suggestion to add the mod to DeadSplit is exactly what we were hoping for, this would be perfect !
