can we get a petition to get mods so the tasks and spawn location isnt random. this wouldnt change how fast the runs are just how many you can do.
Hi! I was thinking about writing to the developers and asking them to give us the option to choose which tasks will be in the locations. You're right, it would make things much easier for speedrunners. I spend 100-150 attempts just to get the tasks I need. I'll try to contact the developers soon, and I think there's a chance they'll fulfill my request.
btw if we're talking about creating a mod for this, I don't even know who to talk to about it. i think It would be better if the developers themselves added this option
Hi! Used to be on the mod team and working directly with BGP. I advocated for this often. Benjamin was very resistant to the idea. He also said he does not like the speedrunning community and thinks it's "boring" that we have categories for things that are not exclusively 100%.
There is a reason I left the company. He's not a good dude both behind the scenes and as a game dev. He's constantly antagonistic to the entire community down to very minor features and bug fixes, and it's his way or the highway. I went out of my way to compile an entire spreadsheet for him of every single bug the community has found, and what the most likely causes are free of charge, and he still hasn't fixed half of the list a year and a half later. I finished my GED and have been in university for a year for engineering since then.
