# MPO (Metroid Prime Origins) Save Manager/Editor for v1.0.4

### Simple tool for managing/storing/editing MPOrigins saves files, for training purposes and fast run resets.

**Setup:** Get the path to the Metroid Prime Origins save files, it must end with Metroid_Prime_Origins (without the " \ " at the end of the path), then click on Load Files, the list below should list your in game saves.

**Storing files:**

1. Click on the file in the "In game saves" list you want to store for later use.
2. Put a name for it in the "Store as" textbox.
3. Click on "Store".
4. If you want to share with others, the stored saved files are put in the Metroid Prime Origins save folder, in a MPOSaves folder. Copy Paste works, but you'll need to close and reopen the app. The MPOSaves.zip contains premade saves to try it out. You can obviously create your own.

**Restoring files**:

1. Select a stored file in the "Stored saves" list.
2. Choose in the list "Restore As" the save slot you want to overwrite in game.
3. Click on "Restore ".

This can be used while the game is running, so if you want to **quick reset your run** :

1. Make/Get a 00:00:00 IGT File, and store it.
2. Select it from the stored save list.
3. Select the save you are running on in the "Restore As" list Once your run is cooked, save+quit to title, click on Restore, quick load the selected file.

**Editing save file :**

You can modify in game save files and your stored saves files.

1. Choose an ingame/stored file, and click on the corresponding Edit button.
2. Change the values you want to change
3. Click on Save Changes

Currently, you can modify :

- Energy/Ammo amount and maximum
- Items acquired
- Aeon abilities
- Save Emplacement - You can make the save start in any room

Save emplacement modification may end up putting Samus OOB, you can modify her position with the X and Y numbers (Bigger X = More to the right, Bigger Y = More to the Bottom).

Some aeon powers cannot be gained before you get the corresponding upgrade in-game. This is due to how the saves works.

Metroid Prime Origins Save Manager V1.0.4

A version of the game that removes Samus fanfare, Samus immobility at load with hotkeys from menu (1 to 8), and add several hotkeys in-game :

- "O" allows you to quick save at your current emplacement on your current save.
- "M" allows you to go back to the menu without saving.
- "R" allows you to quick reload the current save.
- "numpad1" to "numpad8" allows you to quick save on the corresponding save number at your current location.
- Holding "numpad0" + "numpad1" to held "numpad0" + "numpad8" allows you to quick load the corresponding save number.
- You can also quickly switch saves by using M, then the corresponding hotkey (1 to 8).
