This game has a weird movement system that changes your movement value. Your horizontal speed goes 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2 and then repeats. This means that there are several time saves in this game that are dependent on this 7 frame cycle being on a 2 rather than a 1. For that reason many of those saves aren't in this run! There is a section in stage 1 that also has you get hit by spikes if you are moving on the wrong cycle which is always a time loss and often ends your run. Past that, this is a pretty great run. Lots of minor timesaves left plus a few cycle-specific tricks, most of which are in stage 1.
I messed up some boss quick kills but it's fine by me. Stage 4 boss is entirely RNG as to whether you save a huge chunk of time.
