Other than the final boss, which was grossly unfair, this is one of the best shmups we have played. Its even crazier when you realize this game was made in like 1987, and had no right being as solid and well laid out as it is. The power shot pickup mechanic seems decent, not sure why it wasnt used at all in other games. The background terrain sprites are really dope and have some awesome transitions and boss reveals. Having a big boss reveal in the late 80s is some real forward thinking.
