Any% tips, prologue glitch and optimizations (true for glitchless too)

Just to be remembered, Naia is the big brother, Naiee the little one.

You can enable Accessibility, it helps seeing timings of action inputs.

# Prologue

Timer starts when you launch the game, so at the beginning of the first cutscene.

## Cart glitch

Do like a car park along the wall, and spot the little black mark on the ground on which you put the big brother. Then, rotate while little brother helps maintaining the cart on its position so the front handles go into the textures, over the stone wall and flowers, with a perpendicular angle, and press forward (but not too much !) so the wheels of the cart are close enough to this wall. Grab again the handles with Naiee and press forward to jump on the texture.

Go to the right on a straight line, in direction of the Village. Spot a pointy roof like a church one and pass “in front” of it, you’ll see a well. Drop on the left of this well, but pay attention to the perspective. If you drop onto a roof or a rock (and you can move around normally), restart. If one or more of the brothers seem to fly above the ground, play with its action input to help him fall.

Then go behind the well to take the necessary checkpoint, and continue following the stairs up to the bridge.

# Chapter 1 - Village

## Dog strat

It is attracted by the first child to hit the ground, and lose focus when its target starts climbing an object.

With that, you can avoid the packs of straw, and go through the field in one strike.

For the last part, the dog should be on the left of the 3 ballots in order for Naia to have time to run.

## Sheep

Replace Naiee as latest as possible in the wheel so the bridge don't have time to be opened for too long.

# Chapter 2 - Troll Cave

## First door

You don’t have to open it full, but if it is too closed, Naia will bounce back and you’ll lose time.

## First wheel

You can drop as soon as possible with Naiee and then move him out of the way so that Naia can drop without the collision animation.

## First push-puzzle

Go to the right side first, then left, to minimize distance.

## Chains cycles

Big brother grabs the first chain first, in order to position himself to the ladder while little brother is still travelling. Drop him as soon as he has ground below him.

Now you can pass 2 gates in one cycle by grabbing the chain following the one Naiee quits.

## First boss

### Grab key

Pay attention to the bones and to your speed. With a stick, you can adjust your speed. The limit is like doing 3 to 4 steps of run before stopping. Grab key and come back with same tips. When you are closed to the gate, start moving Naia too to bring him back to the lever in the same time Naiee pulls the key in the lock.

### Lock troll

As the cutscene fades, go to the up right with Naiee and down with Naia. The troll follows Naia, so focus on him to bring him up the stairs safely.

Open the cage and enter it with Naiee by the behind of it, through the bars. Do an action input to taunt the troll. When he enters the cage, leave it by where you entered with Naiee and release the lever.

## Troll-woman platform

Do half of the puzzle normally by going to the right part of the mechanism, but for your own path you don’t need to push the platform to the end. You can stop when the top of the “bow” crosses the horizontal part before the gold half-circle. It represents a gain of 1s.

To jump now on the platform, see the different rocks on the ledge and jump from there.

## Second boss

If you are fast enough at the end of the cutscene, you can position Naiee near the first pillar, really close to the troll. Alternative route I saw is to take the left stairs instead but still break the closest pillar. It seems less risky and more consistent.

Move as soon as the charge animation starts, then bring Naiee up-right, then up, then cross the trap door.

At the end, you need to anticipate the timing to make him fall.

# Chapter 3 - Forest

## Wolves

When a wolf does a high pitch groan when you frighten him, it has lost the target. With Accessibility, you see them in green.

Always keep Naiee near its brother, but pay attention that he is slower.

## Guardian gate

After waking up the old man, he opens the gate. Take Naiee only to pass between the opening gate on its left and the man, and go down the stairs to trigger the cutscene.

## Fall of Naiee

After the first water slide, when you climb a branch and jump on rocks where Naiee falls, do this with Naiee first because the trigger is to have Naiee on the right rock, wherever Naia is.

## Touching Mother

Input action 2 to 3 seconds to be sure she will raise her hand.

# Chapter 4 - Mountain

## Mill skip

With Naia, pull the lever and keep it. At the same time, Naiee goes through the first bars and grab a mill wing. Just before its wing will cross the other one (horizontally), jump (right + action key) but release the action key so you’re not grabbing the other wing. Instead, you will fall just in front of the other bars.

Roll the mechanism 5 times, then release Naia’s lever as you continue to roll with Naiee. Naia can do some steps on the bridge as it is not constructed yet.

## Pass the gear

Naia grabs it, and when passing hold the action input of the other brother to catch the gear mid-flight. Do it again for the other beam.

## Flying tips

Avoid walls. Avoid beeing too far on the right in the cave as you turn right to leave it or you’ll hit the cascade.

After the birds, avoid the central pillar from the right, and do not pay attention to the camera which seems too low on the horizon.

## Climbing the castle

Avoid as many time as possible moving with by hand if you have the distance to make another swing.

Sometimes, you can skip some handles by swinging. You can enable Accessibility settings to see it like in the photos.

Just before the part where you walk on the falling floor, you can skip a swing by jumping up with only the brother to the right of the crack.

Same thing when you reach the bridge, last swing is optional.

Here are the optimal movements :

# Chapter 5 - Giants & Blood

## First slide of water

Make sure Naiee drops on Naia to grab his back as soon as they arrived in the water.

## Branch optimization

Naia can join its brother when Naiee is positioned at this sort of drop in the branch.

# Chapter 6 - Invisible Yeti

## Backward boat and camera

Go normal way for the first segment, but when you arrive to the part with a blood cascade on your right, do a turn to the right in order to start navigating backwards. Camera will be constantly resetting, manage it.

In fact, orcas only pop in front of the boat, so in this case behind it.

Go through the level and when you reach the carcass, just hold backwards and the boat should turn by itself.

# Chapter 7 - Shortcut

## Swing

You can break the web in only 3 swings by keeping the momentum (for example, the first and small one on the left, then 1, 2, 3 swings and drop while on the right).

## Boss Battle

Try with Naia to make her drop at a side of the circle of the arena. It will help Naiee to reach the speed. With training you can notice like a walk and a run speed. The walk speed or an awkward angle will not bounce her back.

The first leg to detach is on its left side. Avoid the animation where Naia climb on its chest, it is slower than moving around.

I stay with Naiee in the center of the arena, and move a little with Naia on the outside of the circle so she doesn’t drop on him (instant kill), then the camera having Naia on the left and Naiee on the right should not troll you.

For the part where she stays on the ground, you can bounce her as soon as the snatch animation is finished. Pay attention not having Naia in the path.

## Sliding

Make sure Brothers arrive one on the left, one on the right, at the end of the slope, or sometimes you’ll have to do the tree section with a black screen but a playable game.

## Cover with dust

Trigger the first on your feet as the cutscene stops, then go to the upper left stack, and input action on the right of it. Then go clockwise and each time trigger the push from the side of a stack as soon as you can.

# Epilogue

No tips.

Time is when you lose controls, so at the beginning of the last cutscene, a moment before Naiee reaches the wooden bridge.
