I'm here just to watch the game's speedruns. But i have no idea on how those categories differ from each others. At least I understand starting weapon category. Everything others are mystery to me, so please explain me those categories.

In effect, unrestricted can stop time and use ascension and hover movement techs restricted can't time stop but is otherwise similar, both of them skip the first 3 bosses and benedicta by going to the chapel of the doves early. NMG is basically a glitchless category.
Afilaor% is playing until you get to or beat afilaor (that's what non-lethal and lethal category are for respectively)
