Speedrunning Big Scary was always a joy to me, I was pretty good at it and finding routes and doing tricks was always fun to me. But things have changed, thinking outside the box and finding the best route isn't even the most important part anymore it's just "how quick you can go". And what determines a players speed isn't just hand movement but also it's what kind of headset you have, and your preds, and other stuff that's hard to control. You could have fast movement and just know how to do the best routes, but still be beaten by someone who just has the better headset / setup which I believe is totally unfair. Speedrunning this game is just not fun anymore and I don't wanna verify runs of people just flying around levels as I personally think they have an unfair advantage.
So well... I quit. I'm not saying I'll never touch this page or do a speedrun again, just that I'm not moderating a game like this. I couldn't find a solid solution to make things "fair" in my opinion. Maybe Llonca and that other guy truely were only faster because of their in-game movement (but I disagree). For now, I'm done as I don't think things will ever be in my definition of fair. Jmerkzu will decide the fate of this page, so good luck with that.
Farewell everyone
