Hey,
You guys have been asking for changes in the leaderboard for quite a while I think. But before doing any real changes I decided to come here and post a mockup of what I thought.

Lets go throu the changes:
Basically we now start by choosiing between NG AZRA or NG+. This is the first thing you decide when picking a save file.
I added the upgrade variable. Now we can have both styles: the one you guys exploit the reroll system and another one more "clean". So lets make it clearer:
With upgrades: Pre run inspirations and rerolls are allowed;
No upgrades: No pre run inspiration nor rerolls;
OBS: In both pre run trinkets arent allowed. Thats why the rules says to pick your save file and go straigh to the run.
So what you guys think?
EDIT:
I think I found a solution!!

I need to merge co op with NG azra e NG+. After that I separate it iinto 4 diferent categories and done!
This way I can manage which variable is apllied to whitch category. In short, The variable Heroes now will only appears to Solo (Ng Azra and NG+).
I will have some free time by the middle of the week, so I can try this.
I think we would be better off adding "Upgrades (Inspirations and Rituals)" it as an Annotation.
Variables
Under the Variables tab moderators can create extra variables for the leaderboard to track. Variables can be used in a two different ways, allowing users to split categories further into sub-categories or simply add a new column for information on the leaderboard through Annotations. Let's tackle one use of Variables at a time, starting with sub-categories as it's the most popular usage.
This way we can keep all the runs under a category and simply add the note to the end.
This can also be done for Co op. Instead of selecting a single Character for the category, delete the character selection for Co op and add two annotations for characters played. An annotation for player one's character and another one for player two. This way we can combine all the Co op runs into a single board and have notes at the end that include characters played and Upgrades used.
The Streets of Rage 4 multiplayer leaderboard is a good example of the use of the variables/annotations. Moveset here could be Absolum's Upgrades [yes/no], for example.

Anyway that's my two cents! Maybe we could also change Solo/Co op to one player/two players instead. But I'm just nitpicking there.
The idea to prioritize Players (single/coop) and make everything after it a subcategory is nice. Upgrades must be a variable due to its impact on the game. its too important to be an annotation.
I think it should be a separate category and the rules are fine. I would agree that the co op board needs to be reformatted in such a way that all runs appear together instead of in 4 different categories. If removing the "heros" variable for co op and replacing it with an annotation works, that might be the way to go.

I totally agree. I just need to learn how to do iit.
Hello.
I like the new rules for solo runs. I will just say something about the wording. When you see for warp, it's written : shortcut with Warpless/warp category. You should write the same way.
Because now for exemple I received a notification :
What means yes at the end ? it's for the upgrades.
I propose something like :
upgrade ---> inspirations and reroll ?
Yes/no ---> Inspired / uninspired or Inspired / vanilla run
And for the coop runs I totally agree with CaptainGordon and the way Streets of rage 4 did it.
