All of the longest survival categories now have bandit stalling and no bandit stalling subcategories! Here are the new rules:

For bandit stalling: No bandit stalling while sending Mutant Mary Jane on expeditions. (This is the same rule as before)

For no bandit stalling: In order for a run to count as a no bandit stalling run, the player must get attacked at least once every 12 days by the bandits after getting warned that bandits are on the surface.

Also, since these subcategories and rules are both very new, please be aware that these rules are subject to change in the future if needed. If the need to change these rules comes up, I will let you guys know. Any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we've added a new category: "The Longest Survival (Full Family)," in which you survive as long as possible while keeping all 4 family members alive. This is a category I've been asked to be added by multiple people, so we hope you all enjoy officially running it! Be sure to double check the rules that come with this specific category as well.

Also, we know that you guys have been asking to split the longest survival categories with bandit stalling and no bandit stalling subcategories. We plan to do this soon as well, and I will let you guys know when this is done. Thanks for reading and good luck in your full family runs!

Hey guys, after the discovery of bandit stalling, we need a new rule so you can’t just live forever in longest survival runs. We cannot outright ban bandit stalling, because it is easy to do different variations of bandit stalling by accident - there are even some records that do this by accident. We also did not want to make it too limiting, so the new rule is: “No bandit stalling while sending Mutant Mary Jane on expeditions."

And yes, this means that bandit stalling intentionally as a strategy to live longer is allowed. However, bandit stalling without sending Mutant Mary Jane is not nearly as game-breaking, so this feels like the best answer right now. If this rule needs to be updated in the future, I will let you guys know. Thanks and good luck in your runs.

Hey guys! We have a small update to make. Recently, there was a post in the forums about a timer modification made by Ec1ipse_sol that shortens the timer at the beginning during the house scavenge. This is mainly meant so people doing 0 item runs do not have to wait out the minute timer every time they reset a run. We wanted to announce that this modification is now allowed! The link to download this can be found under tools in the resources page.

However, let me make it VERY clear that this is the ONLY modification allowed, and it is ONLY allowed for The Longest Survival runs. Any other use of this modification, or any other modification to the game, will result in your run being rejected. If there is any questions about this, feel free to reach out to me. Hey everyone, I wanted to make a post about the activity of the leaderboards recently. People have been asking why runs are taking longer than normal to be looked at recently, so I think it would be best for us to be transparent. Recently, we’ve been getting A LOT more runs than we normally do.

On average, we’ve received about 25 run submissions a day on average these last 6 days, and there are currently about 100 run submissions that are still waiting to be looked at. I’m expecting it to be like this for at least a little while longer as the amount of submissions have only increased in these last 6 days. In just the last 24 hours, we have gotten about 50-55 more submissions. This is a big change from just a week or two ago, where we’d only get around 3 runs a day at most. We did not expect this amount of submissions in such a short amount of time, and we were not ready for it. Currently, we are only a team of 5 people who can verify/reject runs, and we all still have our own lives and responsibilities outside of the leaderboards.

With all this being said, we want to let you guys know that it will take longer than usual for us to get through all these runs. We know that some people have felt like they have waited a long time for their run to get looked at, and we truly apologize for that, especially to the newer people who have just recently started to submit their runs. We know it’s a bad first impression, but we promise you that we care and that we will do our best to keep up with everything.

I hope this helps you guys understand what’s been going on, because we know how this might have looked from your guys’ perspective, especially for the newer runners, so we just wanted to fill you guys in on our situation. Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about a couple of changes that have been made to the leaderboards. We’ve added a new subcategory to The Longest Survival, so you can now submit runs under Apocalypse and Survival mode!

Additionally, the rules for The Longest Survival categories – the regular longest survival and zero items – have both been slightly updated, so make sure to familiarize yourselves with what’s been added. Thank you all:)
