Triple Win at the India Game Awards!

1000 Deaths took home three major trophies at this year’s India Game Awards during IGDC Chennai, and we couldn’t be prouder!

IGDC Showcase

The awards were the highlight of a 3-day showcase at the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC), where 1000 Deaths was featured in the Indie 40 section. Talking to players from all walks of life gave us fresh perspectives and plenty to think about, while catching up with our indie dev friends was a highlight in itself. We’re excited to keep learning from our audience and to continue supporting this fantastic community.

Welcome to the first 1000 Deaths Arcade Speedrun Tournament post release! Please go through this news post in order to understand the rules and details of participation.

The Tournament will be hosted on the 1000 Deaths Speedrun.com page. Each participant will have to upload a video run onto the page with in-game time. Please ensure that the win screen at the end of a level is visible. Only uploads between 21 and 25 September will be considered for this Tournament.

Rules

All submitted runs need to follow the below conditions in order to be considered eligible.

• Quickest to completion with 100% CDs
• Each run is to be submitted with in-game time
• Each run is to be submitted without any glitches

Eligible Levels

For this tournament, only the below 9 levels are being considered. You may upload a run for all the levels or as many as you please. Remember, each run you submit will add to your overall points.

Scoring

Whoever has the most points at the end of the tournament wins. In case of a tie, the participant with the fewest total deaths (across all submitted runs) wins.

*All points will be tallied after the Tournament has ended.

• 1st place on a level run = 5 points
• 2nd place on a level run = 3 points
• 3rd place on a level run = 2 point
• No rank, but submitted a run = 1 point

Tournament Build

We have released a special build solely for the participants of this Tournament. Follow the instructions below to access the special build.

• Open 1000 Deaths.
• Create a new profile called RUN. This will unlock all 47 Arcade levels!

Winner Announcement

The top 3 winners will be announced on October 10.

• 1st Place: Exclusive 1000 Deaths T-shirt and stickers, along with a $10 Steam gift card

1000 Deaths is releasing on Steam on August 7!

We have a public demo up on Steam right now where you can speedrun 14 3D platforming levels by employing a variety of mechanics and abilities, and finding the most efficient routes. Some levels in the game can be completed in less than 3 seconds!
