Is official 3rd party Gamecube controller allowed?

Salutations! My preferred way to play Celeste is by playing with a Gamecube controller made for Nintendo Switches. Nintendo made official 3rd party GameCube controllers for people who wanted to use them primarily for Smash bros. I bought one online a few months ago and use it for my PC when playing Celeste, as I find it very comfortable to slide my thumb B to A button simultaneously, along with it's precise analog stick. Is that allowed to be used? I think it's just a regular Gamecube controller ported over for modern gaming uses with a USB plug, but would like to check in. I haven't seen anyone mention it here so I would just like to be sure before I plan on submitting any times.
