Calamity Ganon QUESTION

I've been playing since release, but only just recently completed the game (I'm very much a completionist and was just enjoying everything about the game).

Obviously the first thing I did after beating the game was look for the current world record speedrun with a desire to be amazed.

But after watching it, I'm a little confused, because when I reached the Sanctum none of the 'blight' ganons initiated for me and it went straight to Calamity Ganon. I entered the Sanctum much differently than the speedrun (actually came in from above, went around the inner edges, actually exited the Sanctum, then came back in). So I'm not sure if I created a glitch of some sort because of how I got into that area, or if it was something else? I didn't even realize you had to re-fight all those earlier ganons.

Is this a known issue...just not sure what happened?

Its easy to explain. You only have to fight the blight which u havnt fought while playing through the game. Since u prob. have beaten the blights in the Divine Beasts, you dont have to refight them.

Gotcha...didn’t realize that. Thanks!

Ok. So, if you beat the Divine Beasts, abbreviated as DB in the community sometimes, you already beat the Blight Ganon, so it doesn't appear in Sanctum, as you killed it. So, if you beat Windblight Ganon and then went to castle, just would have to beat Thunderblight, Fireblight, and Waterblight Ganon. A lap Ganon would lose 1/8 health. But speedrunneres don't have time for DBs, so they have to beat all bosses. ;)
