Hi, I'm new to the speedrunning community but this was one of my favorite games as a kid and I'm currently practicing the speedrun. Just wondering if anyone is still actively running this. I would love to chat and pick up some tips and tricks!

There aren't really active runners at the moment, but I think anyone interested in this game is exciting, I'd love to see more submissions for this game cause it's a pretty fun speedrun and fairly short.

Mostly it's just pattern memorization, most bosses you can manipulate their movement patterns to get quick defeats.

Quick question, I'm running on a SNES emulator and for practice I have save states at the beginning of each level. I'm just wondering when I start going for the full game run do i need to start from the opening menu each time or if say 2-3 mins in i make a mistake can i just go back to save state 1 at the beginning of the first level? or would i need to restart from the opening menu? not sure what the rules for stuff like that is as far as offical runs go.

Save state is fine as long as it begins at the TV/Level Select screen and the timer begins when selecting 1 Player.
