I've noticed that changing / deleting some of the page html drastically increases performance. Would editing the site html count as cheating provided it has no effect other than improving performance?

I wont be sharing which elements can be deleted for obvious reasons, though if the mod(s) want to know how it works I can share it privately, and make the information public if its allowed.
