Category rules?

Can someone tell me a little bit more details about the rules of some of the categories? Like what's the difference between "No Major Glitches" and "No Major Glitches (S+Q)"? What is defined as a "Major Glitch"? Also, is there a route difference between Low% and Any%? The route the Any% takes could very well be Low% at the same time as you only seem to get the sword and shield.

Hey SusiKette, first of all you should begin by whatching 1-2 runs of each category, you will find some of the answers really quickly :)

NMG (S+Q) allows you to "Save and Quit" , making the route quicker by some seconds (on GBA, because on SNES it's a lot quicker), there is nothing else different compare to normal NMG (no S+Q).

Also you can find ressources easely on the forum on what define a "Major Glitch" playing Alttp !

I'm not a low% expert at all so i don't have anything to say about it :)

I expected to be clear ^^' bye !

"No Major Glitches" is the default category of ALTTP. It is the most competitive of all of them. You just beat the game without clipping, going out of bounds or doing any other game breaking mechanic. It's simple to learn. Any% on the other hand utilizes a glitch that lets you beat the game in 2 minutes which essentially makes it very repetitive very easily. Low% is different from No Major Glitches because you don't get any safety items as you're ONLY getting what's required to beat the game. That includes skipping tempered sword, any boomerang, and possibly skipping silver arrows? I haven't tested skipping silver arrows yet.

So, basically difference between Any% and Low% is that Low% doesn't allow major glitches?
