Everything that's listed in this document under "Glitch" is not allowed in any of the Glitchless category runs. Anything labelled "Exploit" is fair game, so long as it's not banned.

Wall zipping - Glitch Using shift lock or first person camera to flip your model 180 degrees which will move your character quickly across the surface of the part. This also, by extension covers Corner Clipping and Zen Clipping.

Example -

Lag clipping - Glitch Positioning yourself far enough from a wall then moving and holding minimise at the same time to create lag, which if timed right will make you phase through thin walls.

Example -

/e dance 2 clipping - Glitch If you /e dance 2 next to a super thin wall then shift lock at a 90 degrees angle, you'll be offset from your centerpoint and end up on the other side of the wall.

Example -

Wall Hugging - Glitch Tapping the < and > keys whilst travelling along a block will cause your character to jump off a block that you normally can't jump off... granted that you hold space. Can be used to traverse gaps that normally aren't traversable.

Example -

Text Box Storage - Glitch If you walk up to an NPC with the "Press E to talk" message, and start walking away pressing E just as you reach the edge of his chat hitbox will cause the "Press E to talk" stay on your screen permanently till you die or click return to start of world. As such, you can use this on the points in the worlds to teleport to the challenge course from anywhere in the world. Mainly used before grabbing a star with no deliberate deaths, as when you respawn you can immediately teleport to the challenge course without having to walk back to the NPC again.

Text Box Momentum Storage - Glitch This uses the same trick as Text Box Storage but has a key difference - When being teleported, any momentum you had is conserved. Meaning, it's possible in some worlds to take the "Press E to talk" to a part of the map like a sawblade rail or bounce pad or hammer, and time it so that as you are mid launch you teleport to the challenge course, skipping potentially huge parts of the level. As of right now, this trick completely skips W3 and W7's challenge courses entirely, and almost skips all of W1's W2's and W4's challenge courses.

Example for both tricks above -

Jumping on slip surfaces / kill surfaces - Glitch This used to be common back in the day, but has since been "patched" due to Roblox updates. However some are still semi doable, yet very difficult.

No example for this.

Click to move to break bossfight camera - Exploit In some phases of some boss fights, click to move breaks the camera allowing you to shoot the boss during phases that you usually can't hit them in.

Ulipse Softlock - Exploit In both phases of her fight, Ulipse throws her moon at you after several charge attacks. Jump at the right time, and the moon wont collide with the ground softlocking her for that phase, yet still allowing you to hit her. Saves no time in phase 1, but in phase 2 it can save a considerable amount of time.

Celesteal jumps - Exploit Completely useless trick, but if you fall off the map during some phases of Celesteal's fight and hold space you'll respawn high up, jump off an invisible plane and can cross some small gaps with it. Namely Arrolin and Ixol's symbol. This saves having to avoid all the attacks at the cost of 1 damage, but doesn't save time as Celesteal is an auto-scroller.

Example for the 3 tricks above -

Resetting at a star - Exploit If you die whilst grabbing a star instead of reappearing at spawn you'll die and respawn at your last checkpoint. Saves tons of time, and allows us to grab other stars or coins nearby without walking from spawn every time.

Getting flung by hammers or axes - Exploit Hammers and axes when stood on can launch you giving you immense height. This requires that you stand on the part of the hammer or axe that doesn't kill you.

Hopping across sawblade rails - Exploit Many think that this is wall hugging, or a variant of it. It's not, wall hugging requires that you slightly clip your body into a wall to jump off a part who's top is not exposed, this is merely using the climb function of roblox repeatedly by holding space and holding left or right to cross gaps.

Example for the 3 tricks above -

Grabbing checkpoints/collectables/loads through walls - Exploit There are instances in game where checkpoints are close enough to the wall that moving your arm into it and wiggling a bit will trigger it, allowing you to reset spawning on the other side. Notably used in W4 and W7, but can also be used to enter W8 early without lag clipping via /e dance2. You could also enter W4 using /e point early, but this requires a lag clip to perform. Many coins can also be collected this way, such as the one in W4.

Example -

Spade Skip in W6 - Exploit This is an extension of the above glitch, however is unique because the spade model when given a slip script has a weird enough hitbox that we can abuse it and jump past it skipping a chunk of the level without slipping. This is much easier and consistent to do than other forms of slip trigger.

Example -

Cannons launching you off objects - Exploit Cannons give you immense vertical velocity, and if there just so happens to be an object in the way and you hit it at the right angle and time, Roblox physics will give up and send you flying. This is mostly random, but may be advantageous if we find a way to control it.

Example -

W9's TV explosions launching you - Exploit The TV's in W9 make explosions upon impact with objects, and if positioned correctly can offer you enough height to scale some parts of the map.

W9’s TV explosions launching you with aid of hats - Exploit If you are wearing hats or accessories when getting launched by a TV, you can gain much more distance and height than if you wore none. The larger the hatweight of your avatar, the easier it is to perform some tricks. Any free hats are allowed to be used that can be found on this guide - https://www.speedrun.com/af2/guide/kgnjl but any paid or event hats are banned.

Example for both tricks above -

Using a sawblade late to get launched - Exploit If you wait for the timer to run down to a specific number, then grab a rail, you can have the timer expire mid saw rail causing the momentum you had to be conserved launching you in the direction you were headed. Not super useful for anything other than W4's TBMS.

Example -

High jumps - Glitch When jumping against a wall and flicking, you can get a slight height increase which allows you to make jumps that were previously impossible. One example being the wall right in front of spawn in W7, which can be climbed only with a wallhug or high jump.

Water High jumps - Exploit Sometimes you can jump higher in water, either by rotating your body as you hit the water, or having shiftlock enabled on the surface of the water. This is mostly used in W1 at the water to reach a higher step, and in W4 to grab one coin in certain categories.
