SupporterI feel a little silly (and pedantic) asking this, but am I allowed to remap c-down on a gamecube controller c-stick to a digital button like X? It's analog to digital which violates a rule, but the original game had c-down as a digital input instead of an analog one so... it's actually digital to analog to digital. I am playing on WiiVC with an ESS adapter used for input display (ESS turned off). Just wanted to make sure this was worth the trouble of setting up before I actually do it! Thanks :D
I have a drawing tablet I use to play Osu and I am interested in running this game, however I would like to use my tablet as the game is much more enjoyable for me. Since there is a rule prohibiting it I can only assume that is because someone was doing this at one point and it was seen as an unfair advantage. I won't try to argue that point, but if I were to submit runs with video proof of my hands and a non-screen wacom tablet could a separate category be made for runs using a drawing tablet? I love this game but I don't see the potential for speed being fully utilized here. I'd even say the counter argument of accessibility doesn't really make sense considering a screenless drawing tablet is significantly less expensive than an iOS device. Please let me know! I'd love to pioneer a new way for people to enjoy this game :)
Is there a reason there are no categories for speedrunning greed mode? I don't see anything else on the forums about this and this surprises me seeing as this mode of play is parallel to the normal mode of play. I can do a run as an example, but I feel like this would be a nice addition to this game, if not as a normal category at least a miscellaneous one.
This is a bit of a long shot, but would it be possible to add a mobile Sub-category? The glitch allowing people to quit out before actually finishing is Pc exclusive which inherently puts people on iOS and Android at a disadvantage. There is a reason that every single submitted run has been on Pc. Just an idea to give a little bit of life to an otherwise dead speed game. Also it'd be cool to get categories for %150 percent, since there are stages only accessible by beating the 3 hardest stages, and then playing from 60-120 seconds. Maybe IL high scores too for top times on the individual levels. This game is amazing and I believe it has more speed potential than is being exhibited currently. I'd love to see a rework of these leaderboards because I'd be all over it for some fresh categories. Let's give Terry some love.
Was going through the leaderboards and it appears that a computer run was approved for the touch screen 128 category. The link follows:
Solo ILs are fun and all, but I think there should be a subsection for co-op ILs. Would this be at all possible? The all maps category has both a solo and co-op leaderboard. I'm not sure exactly how the best way to implement that would be (since there can be 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 player co-op and that is bound to get tedious) but I still think it would be a neat addition.
I have just completed both a co-op and solo all maps run, however I see that most runs that are up do not have the newest map (Busan) included in their times. I am not sure how exactly this should go about getting fixed, but all of my runs included Busan and it would damage the longevity of the category itself if the answer were just "skip Busan". Just thought I would point this out since the map has been out for a few weeks and therefore should be included in all runs claiming to be ALL maps.
