California, USAfor the past few months, any time livesplit auto updates (well really when a new update is available and the popup shows up), livesplit will crash as soon as the auto splitter starts. updating it through the app does not fix this, my only solution so far has been to download the latest version through the website every time and then open my splits and layouts from file and re-set all my global hotkeys. I don't understand if the problem is the auto splitter or livesplit or what, but I thought I'd start here. it's very inconvenient.

you gotta add like any% or something to it. there's a level categories thing under the normal categories, it's cause sometimes you can do like 100% IL's or secret exit vs normal exit or whatever in other games.

my friend, I am telling you it says "there is no auto splitter available for this game" in livesplit. can you please put it in resources, splits is not the same thing. I can manually activate it with the scriptable auto splitter setting I think if I have the file.
livesplit is not auto detecting an autosplitter based on the game title, would be nice to use since the board looks like it's being run on in game time.
guess it's gonna depend on what it is, haven't done any myself so I don't know, just been running any% and by extension husbandman. could just be like the any% route if it's faster, idk
whoops, missed this post somehow, added character variables. Jerry is slower, but like it's still just any% so filters can just be used if there's ever more runs.
added a beat hell boss category, apparently I deleted my 100% file so I forget what his name is. time start on game start, time end on scythe grab
I thought it was just dont die, but some runs the glitch state doesnt activate and I got lasers, good aim shooty knight, and skeletons all over me on 0 death.
ok figured it out, if the glitch that despawns the skeleton isnt active, it doesnt work. it makes the knight just move faster for some reason
I thought it was a just run forward lol trick, but I'm getting shot every time. is there a setting I need to enable or what?
ok, so both top times are on current patch, so nah, we're good on patch sub categories for now. 100% or all bosses could be a thing though, maybe dungeon categories when those get added
wtf is graveyard skip? the clip into hell well? I've seen 2 current patch runs do that clip
If you look at the run video I was short 1 coin at 39, going back to kill an enemy would have lost 10 seconds at most, or doing a quitout near a porta potty to get 10 more coins takes like 5 seconds. Honestly with better enemy coin drop luck it would be 40.
If you want I can pb again with 40 coins at that point, or download a newer patch from itch and lower the time. the extra health doesn't matter, I only lost 6 health the entire fight in the video out of 30.
You're also welcome to downpatch using steam db to find the right version and there's at least one thing from github I know of that you can download that does it since steam made it a pain in the ass. But since the dev is here, ondy can include an older version in the betas tab on steam (located by right clicking a game, going to properties, clicking betas) if you really think 5 seconds (if any, again, probably no difference with better drop luck) is such a big advantage.
