This idea is new, and it isn’t really yours. Several RSG runners have already attempted monument strats for 1.14.4 and pulled it off successfully. You don’t actually need an igloo, just a regular village is enough to give you the required 12+ pearls.

You do need good seed luck though, to spawn near a monument with an igloo or village nearby. It’s just an alternative option from the classic strats.

JellySquid is basically sodium lithium and phosphor. But unfortunately if it doesn't help OP's com, then there's nothing he can do but play exclusively on 1.14.4, or do unofficial runs on Optifine 1.16.1 which will of course be invalid.

One thing you can try is to reset the luck on a bad seed by going into creative and cleric trading until you get the 1/3 twice in a row. From my own experience that makes it a lot less likely that you get 1/3-ed on a good run.

1. You can’t speedrun snapshots,
2. Just because there’s iron and a lava pool doesn’t mean it’s good for a SSG run. That’s good for an RSG run, and there are tons of other seeds that also have iron and a lava pool. For a seed to be a good SSG seed, it needs a 12-eye portal and, if possible, nether travel. Take a look at the seed that people use for 1.16 SSG to see what I mean,
3. To get the seed of a world, pause the game, click open to LAN, click allow cheats on and start the LAN world, then open the chat and type /seed and enter. The chat should return a string of integers which is your world seed. Not that we’re going to need your world seed anyway for the previous two reasons - unless your world is, impossibly, a 12-eye portal seed - forget it. We don’t need it.

So you can use Optifine in 1.16+ as long as you keep to the mod rules in that link?

I’m too broke to afford minecraft as of now, so I’ve been using Tlauncher for my runs. I’ve uploaded two runs so far and both were accepted.

While cracked launchers itself are technically illegal since they are a form of internet piracy, they give no competitive advantage and are basically indistinguishable from the real thing when playing singleplayer, so as long as you don’t make it obvious you’re using a cracked launcher, you should be fine. All you need to show in the video is the run itself, as well as the screen before the world creation (the singleplayer worlds menu).

every single 12-eye portal seed in 1.16 has already been found and vetted. The current SSG seed in use is the fastest one in existence for all 1.16 seeds.

thanks, because i was wondering why I hadn't heard from the mods either. I submitted an RSG run exactly one week ago but haven't heard from them.

It wasn't a very good time so that might also explain why it's taking a while :)

i agree, I feel like learning to onecycle the dragon has arguably been the hardest thing for me to do so far. Everything else was pretty easy to pick up
