I was 4 years old when Pac-Man was released in arcades and I still haven't had any life altering experiences. Still waiting for one. :-)
The center of the planet. Wonder if it is really lava spinning super fast causing our gravity.
Personally I would get an Elgato with HDMI and composite. That way you can connect any system to it directly to your computer. Lowers the resources used on the PC also and makes your recordings better.
Thanks for the info. I have my setup on Linux if anyone else doesn't use Windows I can help. Also with MacOSX.
80's arcade games emulate well on older hardware also. MAME is a good emulator. I am new also. Everyone starts somewhere. Just make sure to submit times that way it is easier to see improvement. Good luck and have fun.
I just started speed running. Love all the old 80's games like Pac-Man. I run just for fun. Really like this site and community so far. Look forward to being a part of it. Been gaming since 83. Thanks for reading.
I am an old gamer. When I was a young buck like most of you in high school my friends nick named me rooster since it rhymes with my last name. I like playing games from when I was a kid in the 80's like Pac-Man so I added retro. I am in the IT field and an old nerd so I used leet speak from the 90's to make my username. :-)
Life is like that. It takes hours of practice and dedication. Anything worth doing is never easy. Don't get down on yourself. Take breaks and just try do a little better each time. If it looks like you messed up to much reset and start again. You can do it. But it will take time. Kind of like playing Dark Souls for the first time. And watch how the pros do it. Remember when you speed run you are playing against yourself. Trying to be better than you were a couple of weeks or months ago. Hope this helps.
