The Neclord softlock is because they removed the rune pieces limit. You could only Regen 45hp per round max before, now someone's already placed over 100 water rune pieces on their weapon without hitting a limit
Bribe Glitch - Gone
Invisible Viki - Gone
Level Underflow Glitch - Gone (tested on Sheena AND Kuromimi)
(Unconfirmed by me) No more Stat Stone Glitch, No more Infinite Escape Talismans
And - RNG is now actually random, meaning no more manips for:
Marco's Cup Game, Lepant's Wheel, Army Battles as a whole (that I've noticed so far), Early Holy Rune
Glitches discovered so far:
New softlock at Neclord when your Regen from unlimited water rune pieces outpaces Neclord's damage
World Map music retained when instantly re-entering a town (happened to me once on my day 1 108 star run; was in Rikon)
Will be interesting to see if we will even NEED a glitchless category for the remake!

I was so shocked to see that my WR of almost 8 years was beaten (verified beaten) today! But the run was real, and congrats to RetroMaestroHalil!
So...thing is...it's kinda a weird situation.
So firstly, idk how the last few runs on the EU/NA have been timed My run was originally timed to 12:29.x timing to the first frame of the 'Congrats' screen, but a few years back timing end was changed by mods to be the last hit of Jade instead, making my run a 12:27...
...but if you look at my run I kill jade at 12:12.x.........so......idk what the deal with timing is as RetroMaestroHalil's run is verified as 12:26, final split timed to (a few frames before) the 'Congrats' screen...
But looking at Halil's run...THEY kill Jade at 12:12.x too!!!!!
So obviously, we need to fix the end timing for both of these runs.......but how do we want to do it?
A world record tie at 12:12? I'm fine with that, if that's what the community wants.
Do we start timing in milliseconds (at least for this case)? I'm fine with that too.
RetroMaestroHalil - 12:12 and 13 frames (12:12.43)
NickDoane - 12:12 and 22 frames (12:12.73)
So yeah, I did lose WR.

Let's fix the boards now too though.
The battles start off the same from a reset, that's why WR saves and quits. A lot of things effect the battle table though, like little/calm litany moves the encounter table ahead the same way if you walked 5/8 seconds ahead.
There are some spots that it seems to be truly random though so it's hard to say exactly, but it seems like you're set to have the same 'random' battles until you star interacting with bosses and casting heal spells which randomizes things again

Sorry for the late reply, I just happened to notice this while submitting runs for a marathon.
I've used bizhawk lately, but I've also used fusion. Tbh though, I'm not an authority on Sega CD emu. From what I've seen, bizhawk seems almost exactly accurate though and I remember it being called accurate.
I've TAS'd a few Sega CD runs with it and I would be very surprised to hear it was at all inccurate.
